Madison Beer

MadisonAn avid music fan and a frenzied experimenter from an early age, Long Island, New York's Madison Elle Beer started posting videos of herself singing cover versions of popular songs as an 13-year-old in the year 2012. Within a couple of months, pop star Justin Bieber came across her rendition of Etta James' "At Last" and shared it with more than 25 million of his Twitter followers. The media coverage that resulted from it led her to a record contract with Island Records and a management agreement with Bieber's manager following year. Beer was also featured in the small role of Louder Than Words, an independent film that was directed by David Duchovny. It premiered at the film festival in the final months of 2013. The poppy and melismatic "Melodies," her debut single, also came out in late 2013.

Buffett declared that he intended to give over 80 percent of his money to charitable foundations. By 2020 he raised that amount to a whopping 99 percent. The primary beneficiary was the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation--created by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his then wife Melinda, which was primarily focused on issues of world health and education; Bill and Buffett have maintained a close relationship since the beginning of the 1990s. Other organizations that were able to receive donations were those run by Buffett's children, and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation named after his late wife. This foundation focused on women's reproductive health , and helped fund scholarships for college. In the year 2010, Buffett and Gates came up with the Giving Pledge. This pledge encouraged other wealthy people to contribute a significant portion of their fortunes to charities.
